Instructions |

The Consulate
General of Spain in Mumbai is in charge of processing the
short stay visa applications of Indian Citizens residence
in the following states. |
Granting a visa is a prerogative of the Consulate in every case. Having submitted “all the documents” does not imply a “right” for the visa to be granted. |
If the applicant is going to travel to different countries of the Schengen area, he must consider that the competent state for processing the visa will be, in this order: |
The state of main destination. |
The country more related to the purpose or main reason of the trip. |
The country in whose territory the visit will be longest. |
The state of first entry. |
You must please submit your application well in advance before your trip. The minimum time period to process the visa will not be reduced in any case. |
On receiving the application, the Consulate will determine an approximate date for the resolution of the application. On that day, any of the following situations may be given: |
The visa applied for is granted. |
The application is still pending. |
The applicant is required to provide further documents. |
The applicant is summoned for a personal interview. |
The application is rejected. |
For groups of more than twenty persons you must first contact the Visa Section of the Consulate or IVS. |
